Hey Guys,

My weekend was awesome…Made a road trip from Tahoe through the Eastern Sierras with my daughter for 5 days. We hiked to some beautiful waterfalls, kayaked alpine lakes + more. Caught/ released many wild brownsand rainbows in Echo Lake, Truckee River, W. Walker River, Rush Creek, Mammoth Creek, Pine Creek, and the Owens River.

Check out the pics… the waterfall was in Tahoe near Fallen Leaf Lake.

Last stop Sunday, we drove to 10,000 ft to the Horseshoe Meadows above Lone Pine. We arrived in late afternoon under gray skies and hiked out to the meadow – we were alone with no others. It rained on us for about an hour while

I caught/released California’s most beautiful and indigenous Golden Trout. The creek is only 3-4 feet wide and you can jump over it easily. We fisherman are juicin for the next big fish to burn our drags but this day I was totally gratified with the solitude, serenity, and simplicity of the moment catching these small color fish. I already look forward to a day like that again.
