A late Catalina Report for 5/13/2007

A few of us from the shop got out last weekend with Jeff on the Fortuna out of Cabrillo Marina. We did a dawn patrol out to Catalina to check out the action.

Avalon for Squid, and around the Island to the usual spots looking for the nugget.

Well, not much current made it difficult to find the right conditions. Not even a steady chum of cut squid with the now and then handful of live squid got the bass or any angry blue perch to start the food chain.

It was a great weather day out at the island.

Pete got angry at our Sirus Sat Radio gimmick. "Turn on the dam K-earth Bobby......that reggae crap is driving me crazy......turn off that Howard Stern Show Aaaaaaaaaah ha ha that comedy channel is aaaaaah ha aah haaaaaaaa pretty funny aaaaaaaaah hhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa ha ha

We did manage a nice calico, and this nice SheepHead caught by Captain Jeff.
